"We always try to improve ourselves on a daily basis with regard to routine habits, finance, health, and food. I have tried to write down and then track tasks. There are so many that I get overwhelmed and lose a few tasks and I am unable to make any progress.
This led to frustration despite having the right intentions and effort. The Tiny Habits course created by Dr. Shabnam, Dr. Fogg, Jennifer, and Stephanie helped me to break this down. It helped me to understand how to make a habit and how to be more effective at creating change in my life. The course is well structured with learning outcomes and feedback. It is a course to take up and go deeper into this interesting science of creating habits."
The Tiny Habits For Brain Health program uses the Tiny Habits Method of behaviour change. Based on the research of Dr. BJ Fogg, Ph.D., the Head of the Behaviour Design Lab at Stanford University and the author of the New York Times bestseller, Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything.
Dr. Fogg says,"Help people do what they already want to do."
That's why Tiny Habits certified coaches Dr. Shabnam Das Kar, M.D. and Jennifer Lee, M.Ed. will teach you what will harm your brain, along with powerful strategies to and keep it healthy, including:
A cognitive test should be a part of your annual health check-up, but it isn't.
So, when was the last time you had a brain test? Likely never, unless you experienced an injury or memory loss symptoms.
And if you wait until you develop cognitive decline symptoms, like getting lost, missing appointments, or forgetting names... well, by then, it may be too late!
"You can't change what you don't measure," so why guess when you can test?
That's why we use the Cognitive Assessment Test to establish a baseline to analyze memory, reasoning, verbal ability, concentration, attention, and planning.

Dr. Fogg founded the Behavior Design Lab at Stanford University. In addition to his research, Dr. Fogg teaches industry innovators how human behaviour really works. He created the Tiny Habits Method of Behaviour Change to help people around the world.
Dr. Kar is a Functional Medicine doctor and an international speaker. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and has completed the Clinician's Training on the Clinical Practice of Alzheimer's Prevention from Alzheimer's Universe. In addition to possessing a Brain Health Professional Certification from the Amen Clinics, she is a Tiny Habits Certified Coach. Dr. Kar lives in Alberta, Canada.
As the assistant director of the Tiny Habits Academy, Jennifer helps train and certify coaches in the Tiny Habits method. She has a life-long fascination with how our minds work. Her graduate and postgraduate education focus on teaching, learning, and cognitive neuroscience for education. She has worked with a number of brain-health education programs, including programs with the Amen Clinics and the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
Stephanie is an expert at the intersection of Behavior Design and employee health. After spending a decade leading wellness programs, she manages operations and partnerships for Dr. B.J. Fogg. She supports his work in the industry and teaches Behavior Design Boot Camp with BJ. Living in Virginia and now a mom to two tiny humans, Stephanie considers juggling her superpower.
"I already know what to do to improve my brain health… I just have to eat better, exercise more, get rid of my stress, stop eating sugary stuff, and sleep more... but I just can't get myself to do them!"
Or...
"I did start creating brain-healthy habits, but they didn't last for long. Covid hit, my job stress was high, I went on a vacation, *add your own reason here*... and all my healthy habits went out the window!"
It's based on the work of Dr. B.J. Fogg, the head of Stanford's Behavior Design Lab. In fact, this course was co-created with Dr. Fogg, and many of the videos feature Dr. Fogg himself.
In his book, Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything, Dr. Fogg describes "the information-action fallacy" ⎯ the false idea that if we just learn WHAT to do, we can change our lives.
Because we all know that knowledge alone is not enough! It's having the right tools to create lasting change so you can experience the success that you are truly capable of.
So, if you've tried unsuccessfully to change your behaviour in the past...
"I just finished the Tiny Habits for Brain Health, and I found the course by Dr. Shabnam Das Kar and Jennifer Lee to be so helpful. My mother died from Alzheimer’s and seeing what she went through has put me on a path of researching everything I can do to prevent getting that dreaded disease myself.
I learned so much great information about things I can do to help keep my brain healthy from Shabnam and Jennifer. Their teaching style is calm and friendly. I felt like I was being taught by a couple of knowledgeable family friends. I learned information on brain health that I'd never heard before.
What sets this brain health course apart from others is that others feed you information without any help on how to implement healthy changes in your life. The Tiny Habits program doesn’t do that. I have learned realistic methods for implementing all of the great brain health information into daily practices that I know will definitely help me keep my brain healthy for a long time to come."
